Hi my name is Jan and I'm mostly a self taught artist living in a small fishing village on the Bellarine Peninsula, Victoria, Australia. I am also a mother of six beautiful children, two of whom have special needs, a wonderful and understanding husband. During my younger years I had always enjoyed drawing, but as I matured I began to pursue my interest further by enrolling in art school. This instilled the lessons of learning, and with a passion I sought out workshops by artist that I admire, to improve my artistic skills.I am fascinated with the watercolor medium in which I mostly choose, but I also enjoy experimenting with other artistic mediums.My art has been displayed here in Australia and over seas, and currently hold a joint exhibition 'Attitudes' annually in the Historical Portarlington Mill over the Christmas and New Year period.Living on the Bellarine Peninsula evokes me with endless visual emotions, and provides spiritual nourishment, and creative inspiration that I hope to share in my paintings.
